HISTORY
Barham Business Park was formally an agricultural research facility and was given a certificate of Lawful Use by Canterbury City Council in 2001 (its current use is B1). It was purchased by Amirage Properties Ltd a subsidiary of Burgate Investments Ltd in 2003 with the initial aim of redeveloping the site for residential use. Canterbury City Council were adamant that the site would continue as a location for employment and so renovations of the buildings and conversion to light industrial, storage and offices was begun in 2007.

DEVELOPMENT
Burgate Investments are making a substantial investment in the park, and we are presently engaged in the refurbishment of Units 4, 5, 6 & 7 to a block of modern offices of about 1000 sq feet each. We have also engaged the services of Sky Masts Ltd., to boost the current rather poor mobile reception with the installation of a signal plus system. We have also commissioned Forward Construction Ltd of Ashford to improve our parking facilities and it is hoped that this work will be completed by late spring 2008.

THE FUTURE
We are delighted to say that the launch of Barham Business Park has been a huge success. You will see from the page showing unit availability that we have experienced great demand for our space and Units 1 – 4, 9, 11 – 13, 21, and 22 are either let or under offer.  This rapid take up has greatly encouraged us and we hope to be in a position to offer another eight newly refurbished business units of around 1000 sq feet each, and six small start-up units of 837 square feet each.
